BYMRR has been serving model railroaders of all ages and all gauges since 2008. We started with an informational tutorial site all about how to build your own model railroad layout. It remains one of the most comprehensive guides on the internet. More recently we have started selling model railroad products - all the things you would need to build your own model railroad layout. With the advent of the STEM educational movement, we are proud to provide a listing of many of those products as well to help our younger generation learn more about science and engineering while having fun at the same time.

Our products are handpicked from a variety of retail outlets and arranged into Collections which can be sorted and searched in a number of ways to make your shopping experience easier. In addition to our online store, we have a physical store located within the Model Railroad Museum of Hampton Roads on the second floor of the MacArthur Center Mall in Norfolk, Virginia, where we have a variety of starter train sets, tracks, locomotives and railcars in most of the major scales. The Museum itself is a nonprofit, fun, entertaining, community and charitable organization where the entire family can view multiple large and small operating layouts. We also operate STEM classes within the Museum at least once or twice a month.

BYMRR remains a family owned and family oriented company with a passion for model railroading and an even greater passion to provide information and quality products for our fellow model railroaders and their families. Even though BYMRR is not a non-profit, we provide significant donations and contributions to the Museum and to the local community. The Museum website is at MRMHR.org.
