Introducing the KATO 20-606 N-Gauge 3-Light Automatic Signal, a must-have addition for railway model enthusiasts looking to enhance their layouts with realistic signaling functionality. This innovative signal light has been meticulously designed with a smaller main body compared to previous models, providing a more authentic appearance while ensuring seamless integration into your model railway. With a straight track measuring 2.5 inches (64 mm) included, this signal offers exceptional flexibility in installation, making it perfect for tight spaces and branching points.
When combined with two additional 1.2 inches (30 mm) straight tracks, it creates a total length of 4.9 inches (124 mm), making it compatible with both conventional products and high cross-linkage for KATO’s 20-421 signals.
This automatic signal is powered by a DC 12V power supply, compatible with KATO’s 22-018/018BK Power Pack Standard SX, the 24-829/829BK accessory adapter, or the 22-081 power connector linked to the 22-082 Power Pack Hyper DX. Please note that earlier power packs, specifically those before the 22-012 Power Pack Standard S, should not be used as they may cause malfunctions.
The advanced flange touch sensor ensures reliable operation, automatically changing the signal from “Green” to “Red” to “Yellow” and back to “Green” as vehicles pass through. When reversing the direction of the signal, it will consistently display “Red.” For added functionality, this signal is compatible with the 24-848 stop signal button (sold separately), allowing you to manually force the signal to “Red” when desired.
Designed to automatically adapt to your layout’s power supply method, whether analog or DCC, the KATO 20-606 is equipped to support DCC layouts, where the signal will turn green when standing, regardless of the direction of travel. To reverse the signal direction, the 24-848 stop signal button is required to switch the signal back to “Red.”
